The cars look good, and the tracks look great, so what is the problem with NASCAR 21: Ignition?
The problem is that the game is a piece of coding junk, and it was never fixed, in fact it seems if they did fix a problem, two more would spring up somewhere else.

If there are a couple of overtimes to wrap up a race, the field will go to pit road and stop racing leaving you all alone.
Cars will check up on tracks like Daytona so always be on the lookout for that happening, the field will also get a case of the slows if they pit under green as they’ll all go in and hold each other up.

The field is slow to get going on road courses at the start and restarts so make sure you get off the gas upon taking the green flag and thread your way through by going fully to the inside or outside line otherwise you’ll slam into the back of the car in front, you should gain about 10 positions, after a while the race settles down and you can go for it though I have noticed the longer the races run for, the harder it is to keep pace.
The car takes an eternity to get into the pit box so you will lose precious seconds going just a couple of feet and if you’ve got a flat tyre, the pit animation doesn’t show it.
To make the perfect pit stop, make sure your speed is low and you are on the outside line of the pits before you hit the commitment line so when the computer takes over, you should be able to pit trouble free, if you hit that commitment line and you are close to the pit wall, your car will not be serviced.
You better hope that a caution doesn’t come out because if the leader has crossed the line and you haven’t then you will be put a lap down and it’s hard to get your lap back if the scenario plays out again and again.
That’s just some of the problems that ruin what is a nice-looking game.
