Ever wanted to command an airbase and send planes on missions during World War 2? You can with ‘Until The Last Plane‘ by CarloC Games.

You have a choice of the USA, USSR and Germany and your choice of aircraft emblem gives your planes strengths and weaknesses.

You send out a reconnaissance plane to take photographs of targets, you’ll see plane formations, factories and bases.
It is important that you do not send out all your fighters on these missions, two fighters are usually sufficient in the easy campaign to handle targets.

For bombing runs, you have to line up the targeter on to the target by getting the length and width lines lined up with the target.
For combat, you got a choice of manoeuvres to get behind your target or if you’re being targeted a choice of manoeuvres to get away from your hunter.
If you run out of parts, you can scrap planes for parts until you complete missions and get back on your feet.

Skill points help make things easier for you and the money you earn from completing combat missions can be spent on buying new planes, fuel, spare parts and ammo, that’s why it is important to not throw all your planes into a mission if you only have to hit one or two targets as your planes can land and be rearmed, refuelled or be repaired.
Keep an eye on the morale and fatigue level of your pilots, you can lose pilots if you send them out fatigued and you keep them on mission.
One interesting thing about the game is that a situation will come up like villagers offering fruit, women come to the base, a crashed plane is found etc.
Overall, this is a solid game, it can get repetitive, but it is not too much of a bad thing.
Rating: 4 out of 5.
