Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood is an oldie but a goodie back in the day games like it and Call of Duty were simple war games where you take on Germans and liberate France, no DLC’s or expensive skins to worry about purchasing.

For a game that was released almost two decades ago, it runs pretty good on a modern PC, the graphics at least to me still hold up quite well though it does seem a little hard to aim.

You start off just before D-Day, your comrades have taken losses parachuting behind enemy lines to take the war to the Germans.

You get a quick lesson in how to make your soldiers move and how to fire, it has been a reflex to press the right mouse button instead of the centre button, so I’ve repeatedly sent my soldiers into fire instead of telling them to fire on the enemy.

It is a pretty straight forward game, you can order your soldiers to give suppressing fire, you can make them launch an assault on enemy troops, you can talk to them and get ammo and medical supplies from them too.

One cool thing is that if do you get killed a few times trying to beat a chapter, the game will offer you some assistance like giving you more health and if a soldier dies when they are not supposed to in the story, you can revive them in order to continue your story.

As said this game is an oldie but a goodie and should still run good on PC, a game worth considering when on sale.

Rating: 4.25 out of 5.
