Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix

I loved Nickelodeon cartoons as a kid and getting to race as your favourite Nickelodeon characters is a cool thing in Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix.

You have the choice of Single, Multiplayer or Online Mode with Single Player offering Slime Grand Prix, Free Race, Challenges, Time Trial and Arena.

So many choices of characters from TMNT to Rugrats to Hey Arnold! you can unlock a bunch more characters as you win more races.

There are a nice variety of tracks you can race on, from tracks with plenty of space to tracks where there are walls everywhere.

Getting a boost increase at the start all comes down to timing, as you can see there is a circle forming on the start lights, hitting all three correctly gets you a boost.

There is plenty of Nickelodeon slime around, there’s tokens to collect and of course collecting items to hamper the efforts of fellow racers to beat you.

You also have a team that can help you out from a turbo boost to repairs during a race.

The finishing graphic is pretty cool especially if you’re the one crossing the start/finish line in first at the end of the race.

A win is worth 10 points, 8 points for second and one point less for every spot until 8th place gets two points.

With luck, you’ll win a championship, and you’ll get rewarded with new crew characters and drivers to choose from.

All in all, a solid kart game that is pretty commonplace these days, Mario Kart set the tone and everybody else follows, it is always nice to drive as your favourite cartoon characters.
