Australian Football Coach 2023-24

Australian Football Coach 2023-24 is a game where you get to be a coach for an Australian Rules Football Club in a variety of competitions.

You have a choice out of Australian Men, Victorian East Coast, South Australian, Tasmanian, Western Australia, Northern Territorial, Victorian Under-19s and Australian Women.

I chose the Victorian East Coast which is really the Victorian Football League and picked Preston for my club because as a kid I was a fan of the Victorian Football Association.

Picking Preston is a challenge as they’ve had a few barren years in the VFL (Victorian East Coast in this game) so you need to do a lot of work to get up the ladder.

As coach you can manage your list of players, how hard you want them to train etc. you can even assign your assistant coaches to take care of all of that.

You can select your best 23 players by looking at their skill level, form, fitness and morale.

Skills and form can drop off so sometimes you do need to drop players from the 23 in order to get them back on track, as said earlier you can get assistants to look after all that for you.

When it is game time, there are five game speed settings, you can also simulate entire quarters if you wish.

While the game is going on, you can change the tactics of your team, from who to do the kick in to the way you want your forward line to look.

You can get fired from your team; I was sacked halfway through a winless season by Preston.

There are a few flaws in the game, you can delist a player who isn’t happy with your club and immediately sign them back up and maybe even get a discount.

You can be fired by a club and immediately reapply and get hired by the club.

Overall, it is a good football coaching game and hopefully we’ll see improved editions in the future.
