Gazillioinaire (PC Game)

Gazillionaire is an oldie but a goodie, a simply designed business game that is tougher than it looks.

The premise is simple, you own a trading company, and you are competing against rival companies to become the richest of them all.

Your ship can travel to seven planets to pick up passengers, buy and sell commodities and explore what the planet has to offer, there is a risk when visiting, a plea for better or lower rates can backfire on you though you may get an offer for 50% off fuel.

There’s plenty to keep in mind, you got wages to pay, taxes too, fuel to top up and you got a loan that is increasing every turn with interest.

You’ll get offers to get a bigger ship that will put you further into debt and that also means that you will have to pay two loans at once and they both have limits, break that limit and it is game over for you.

There are random events in the game, spoiled cargo, winning the lottery, being offered credits for your cargo, asked for water in exchange for credits, being told not to go to the planet you’re heading to and more.

I don’t think that I’ve won a game in the 20+ years of playing the game, but I keep playing it from time to time in the hopes that I’ve eventually get there.
