Treasure Hunter Simulator allows gamers the opportunity to do some metal detecting around the world.

The game is on PC and Console though gamers must be aware that those with 11th generation Intel CPUs will have a game that crashes every minute or two of play.

Thankfully somebody knew of a solution and the fix to this problem is by entering a new system variable just as the link shows you and that eliminates the problem and saves you the trouble of firing off an angry review, this problem does not exist for the PlayStation 4 version.

Gamers have the choice of doing the game by story mode or by exploration mode, story mode means that you have to make your way through the game step by step, and exploration mode means that you get everything at once.

Story mode starts in two places, Germany and the United States, you have very limited money and the most basic of metal detectors.

You can take on jobs to boost your income and your prestige, this is important if you want better metal detectors.

Different metal detectors means that you can find objects deeper in the ground the downside to this is that you will have to repeatedly visit locations to find every object as you will not find everything with the standard detector.

Now you’re metal detecting and you walk around until you hear the sounds of a beep, you can then bring out your metal detector and a diamond with a magnifying glass appears, when the diamond is fully coloured in, you are close, sweep your metal detector around until the detector lights up just like you see above then it is time to dig.

I’ve found the the detector is easier to handle on the console version compared to the PC version, the PC version to me appears to move too quickly compared to the console version.

After digging up the object, you get to have a look at what you’ve found; you’ll get plenty of can pull tabs and nail but occasionally you’ll get something you’ll need to spray and then rotate around in order to identify.

You can sell what you find when you get back to your headquarters so you can buy the improved metal detectors.

This is the best metal detecting game out there, it is pretty faithful to how things are done in the world of metal detecting, you can search forever, find barely anything out there.

It would be interesting if there was a stage where they show a patch of dirt/sand and you use a pin pointer to locate the item before you dig or in between digs.

A sequel is coming out and it will be interesting to see what they do with it.
